Day off today. Home alone, chilling nicely...until 10am when my mother (knowing I am off today of course) rang me with the first crisis of the day. She can't use her house phone properly to ring out...I explained to her that she was using the same phone to ring me. This set her off on a 15 minute rant on modern technology, then can I go over and sort out ringing the vet cos she thinks her cat might be poorly. Deep breaths needed....
