I couldn't tell you. But Licata is fairly common, especially among Sicilians in America.
Whenever a surname is spelled and pronounced exactly the same way as a town or province in Italy, it becomes a little more common over here. Especially when it's a coastal town with a major seaport (like Licata).
Don't get me wrong, it's not like Smith or Jones. But it's a lot more common that Lipshitz .
