He took too much money to come back. UGA and other universities have always tried to re-apply athletes in the hope the NCAA will go ahead and make a decision one way or another and this is all they are doing. Just because they are re-applying for reinstatement doesn't mean they honestly think he is free and clear. If that was the case the NCAA would have already ruled on it. Fact is they are still investigating and the dealer supposedly has a LOT of proof that Gurley took a shitload of money. He's done. He knew he was breaking the rules but wanted to cash out. Now he can sign all he wants while he waits on the draft.
