I don't remember too much of him (the actor) but you're right. He was PERFECT as the cop on the show.
Back to "The Rifleman". The show became too goody-goody for me after a year or so. All that preaching to the son wore thin. I wanted to see Chuck Connors kick some ass. LOL
You gotta admit, though. For an Irishman from Brooklyn he could ride the f*** out of a horse .
