Yesterday, my college's women's softball team was returning from a scrimmage game in Oklahoma when a tractor-trailer crossed the median and struck the team's bus. Four of the team's players were killed. None of the players are my students, but we are all devastated.
Life can be so fleeting. I think of their families and their receiving the news. I think of my 6 kids and how, so far, they are all healthy and safe.
Wow, Oli, this made our local news. Fleeting and uncertain. We can just support those people as best we can. Words and actions seem so inadequate.
