I remember when that album came out like it was yesterday, DeNiro. I was 12 years old and I took two buses up to Sam Goody's in Yonkers to buy it.
Now "Band on the Run" was a MUCH better album overall. But the expectation for "Wild Life" was much bigger, being that it was Paul's "comeback" album. That's how I remember it, anyway. But like I said, I was twelve years old. Maybe Tis remembers it differently.
Of course, you weren't even a thought in 1971. But you're a Brit, so I figured you'd enjoy that little piece of my personal history
