Laws arent made to be fair or in some way level the playing field. They are put in place to put criminals in jail. The feds clearly know where to sit on the see saw.
That said, they also clearly ruin peoples lives knowing full well they are crossing the line but in the end, they just care about improving their records. Jr gotti comes to mind.
