Was always into the Dean Martin Roasts... and after many years of seeing the "infomercials", I caved in to the "5 easy payments"... (still too much money, but, I figure I could always resell it all after I watch it)
But, OMG... I don't think TV will ever equal what that was, ever again!
I'm only about 12 episodes into it all, but just seeing/reliving so many faces and memories -- so worth it!
...and I tell you what -- I thought Don Rickles would be the star of it all - but no! Freakin' FOSTER BROOKS is the true star!! Episode upon episode, just hilarious acting like a drunk moreso than even Dino himself! lol
I always watch that infomercial when I see it on TV. I've seen videos of the roasts on youtube, they're so much funnier than the roasts today and they didn't have to cuss in every other sentence like these modern roasts. I'll have to look into buying it.
