Just asking here...has any Muslim cleric issued a Fatwah against ISIS or ISIL or whatever these terrorists are called? I have not seen one. Just asking.

There was just one fatwa for killing Rushdi and it was from Khomeini, the late supreme leader of Iran, which in turn further complicated the foreign affairs of the country and made many criticize him .They somewhat overturned it when he died. Fatwa is essentially a new ruling made by a high ranking cleric on modern day issues. For instance the present supreme leader has made one against the nuclear weapons, no doubt in order to take Iran out of the jam of sanctions that was imposed because International community suspected Iran of military nuclear activities.

At any case, for him to issue a fatwa against ISIS, it means to declare war on some territories in Iraq. Killing a person is one thing, declaring a war on a group is another. I think the Shia rulers/majority of Iran have an interest to deal with the ISIS, and they will, one way or another. But the supreme leader wont be issuing a fatwa, that's for sure. Some Shia cleric in Iraq however did issue Jihad fatwas against the ISIS for Iraqi people.
