For what it's worth (my opinion means nothing) Crea has been boss since his parole restrictions expired in 2009. Amuso has had little or no say in the family since 2003, pretty much all his loyalists were in jail, while Migliore, DiNapoli and Madonna were running things while Crea was in jail. Why would they kick upto a guy with no powerbase who's completely fucked up the family, they let him keep his stripes until Crea came home, he's been the real power in the family for 20 years.
