That was a great zinger.

Killing off Richie before the end of Season 2 was one of those things that bugged me about the series. Like Ralph and Tony Blundetto, these were potential rivals for Tony that didn't deserve the one season and done treatment. OK, Ralph was between Seasons 3-4, but that's 20 episodes tops (I don't think he was in Pine Barrens).

It would have been interesting to see Richie and Ralph working against Tony, or even Ralph and Feech LaManna (with Feech pulling Tony Blundetto into his sphere of influence). That way, those characters would have been developed over a course of three or four seasons, and you're not rushing to figure out who the hell the New York players -- Gerry Torciano, Doc Santoro, etc. -- are in the second half of Season 6.

Anyway, pulling this thread back on track -- just before Richie gives Tony the jacket, Tony gets another shot in. "What brings you to an English speaking neighborhood." Richie just has to sit there and take the shot, but you can see him boiling inside.
