I didn't know there were now also tourists being shot. I guess the statements that claim NO is entirely safe for visitors and that the high murder rate can only be attributed to drug dealers shooting each other can go down the drain as well
Man if you take a wrong turn off of Bourbon you can EASILY end up in a bad spot. It has always been that way and yes tourists have been getting hurt, robbed, and shot down there for years. Anyone that tells you NOLA is perfectly safe for visitors obviously doesn't know the area.
