I don't think Stallone's the right choice. I remember him playing "Capone," but that was back in the days before the general public knew anything about the mob. It was too "mythical."

Pileggi's a great writer, and Winkler is a Hollywood heavyweight, so it would probably get a decent budget. But I'd rather see them cast someone other than just another Italian American guy associated with 1970's cinema. I mean, why not just dust off John Travolta and Tony Danza while they're at it?

It's time for new blood in these movies. That's why most of them stink today. They all look the same, with "Sopranos" supporting actors playing the exact same parts over and over and over. It's enough already.
