Children in Sicily were always taught proper Italian in school. The difference, is that way back when, kids wouldn't go past grammAr school, so they only really spoke what they heard around the house, which naturally, was dialect.

Boy, you know everything about everything Italian or Sicilian huh? Gimme a break "Carmen"! You accuse anyone of a rant that disagrees with you when you're nothing but a vile, disagreeable witch yourself. Go tell someone who gives a shit. To anyone that HAS been to and spent alot of time in Italy, you're "rants" are a complete joke. You discredit yourself with your high-handed tone. Go suck on a lemon. It might improve your looks.
