yes, several north italians dislike all southern italians it started especially with the immigration from south to north between the 1950s to present
I have a friend that is part Southern Italian, and she said when she, and her family including her Italian father who was from Naples went to central or Northern Italy it was no big deal at all that she and her father were Southern Italian. Nobody thought her father did not speak Italian correctly. But her father was born in Naples and then his parents moved to NYC, and then he moved to another country where his wife was from.
