That area really suffered from some urban decay back in the '90s. But since Montefiore took over the old Misericordia, the stores in that neighborhood seem to be doing a little better.

Montefiore is a HUGE employer. When you add up all of the hospitals and small offices, they're one of the biggest employers in The Bronx.
