Are there any books about la famiglia in DFW? Davis' book about Carlos Marcello covers some of it. Though some of it is inaccurate, he calims that Dallas was taking orders from New Orleans when they were more connected to KC/Chicago. Due to close proximity NO and Dallas worked a lot together.
