I definitely believe not as widespread as once was. I've seen infiltration of service related businesses that we all need to operate as the way they attempt to get an in.
Someone once said something that may sum up the reason for the decline of LCN more so than the efforts of the FBI and OC task forces combined;
"It only works if they think it does"
My favorite Sopranos episode of all was when Paulie and Sal tried to shake down the Starbucks...and the manager was like...huh?
