The guy was transferred out to a distant prison for his own safety, no? I'm pretty sure if he stayed in that prison or any N.E prison he would have gotten touched.

Yes he was.... As the Aryan Brotherhood assigned a hit on the black guy since Gotti came to them looking for revenge over the attack.
Prison authorities learned of this and transferred the dude out for his own protection.
I heard the guy was mentally disturbed but I don't think the man who attacked Gotti was a part of any gang.
