Nino Gaggi's cellmate in the Metropolitan was an Irishman (IRA member). They became friends during their time inside. It was the Irish lad's persistence and aggression that finally got Nino some medical attention from the guards when he was clearly having a heart attack.

Whatever about Nino's lifestyle, I don't think anybody deserves to die in such indignified circumstances.

There seemed to be a lot of mutual respect between Paul, Nino, Roy and the Westies.

Anyone know what ethnicity Nino's wife was? Arthur Ruffels says she was Irish but I read somewhere else that her maiden name was Italian?

The Irish thing would make sense seeing as he encouraged his children not to follow in his footsteps.
