This attempted takeover was of the Rincon Indian Casino outside San Diego, CA and I'm certain that Anthony DiNunzio (Acting boss of New England) and Carmen DiNunzio (Underboss of New England) were a part of this. Both were out in California doing collections for a few guys out there while they were on the run from a group of mobsters. Ironically, back in 1997, a group of mobsters from Pittsburgh and Youngstown, OH were convicted of bribing the a casino official in an attempt to take over the same casino that the guys from Chicago tried to infiltrate. Pasquale "Patsy" Feruccio, Henry "Zebo" Zottola and the brother (Dominic Strollo) of Youngstown Crime Boss Lenny Strollo as well as video poker kingpin John "Duffy" Conley. Check out these articles:
