Really sad stuff . Incredible actor, no doubt one of the best of his generation. He was amazing in Capote, 25th Hour,T he Talented Mr. Ripley and as Giancarlo mentioned Almost Famous. For me he will always be remembered for his performances in Paul Thomas Anderson films, Boogie Nights,Magnolia,Punch Drunk Love and The Master. I don't have any interest in any celebrities personal lives, so i didn't have a clue that he was a junkie.
I think he got out of rehab maybe last year. I remember reading that somewhere.
Boogie Nights...lol. That scene was pretty funny.
I also liked "Before the Devil Knows You're Dead". But he's been in many good movies over the years.
