In the article posted above, it says that the defense was trying to paint it as Stevie's money that was owed. How do you guys think that will play on the streets? Seems to me that they are throwing Mazzone under the bus. Does this piss him off or does he see it as do what you have to do to survive?
Good news is Stevie beat this case. More good news is, Jacobs could say Stevie killed Kennedy and it wouldn't matter. They're not going to put the entirely new case together with the same facts only for Mazzone's lawyer to go, "It's Uncle Joe's money!" And play the tape that says that all over again.
When you are found 'not guilty' in a court of law, it does not by any stretch of the imagination mean you were found 'innocent' (think about that for a second). The name of the game is to create a litttttle bit of doubt, just enough. I'm sure Stevie knows what they're doing is kosher.
