Eddie Jacobs intelligently set out at the beginning of this trial that there is no crime in being a member of Cosa Nostra. There IS a crime in committing criminal acts and being a part of an ongoing criminal conspiracy. Words like "Gambino", "Boss", "Capo", "Mafia", etc. aren't a crime.
I was impressed with this admission. I'm surprised so many attorneys have glossed over this by futilely saying "There is no mafia".
