A few of us old folks were alive in 1963. I was 14 years old, a freshman in Pearl River High School, NY. I was in history class, Miss Gallagher. The athletic director came into our class, visually upset. He pulled the teacher into the hallway, and as we found out, told her that Kennedy had been shot. I don't remember what time it was or even if we knew he was dead. Miss Gallagher told us the news with tears in her eyes. Sometime after that we were dismissed from school. I don't remember how I felt.

Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, whoever humbles himself will be exalted - Matthew 23:12
