Mtl is similar to NYC in the sense that there's a large Italian community that has been around since atleast the early 1900's if not before..It's very multicultural, every possible OC unit you could think of exists on an island the size of Brooklyn (same goes for Toronto although the GTA is larger in size)

The vibe in Eastern Canada is comparable to NY, Philly or Baltimore, not like what you see on TV with moose, seals, igloos, and maple syrup
