MY youngest Son Ryan was diagnosed with the same thing. His doc put him on Topamax. The side effects were sleepiness and he wasn't able to sweat. The summers were hard on him. The doc took him off the med he's been off for a couple years now and hasn't had any more seizures. Sending good thoughts for your Son. MY sympathies for that girl and her family.
Thank you, Mig. My son's medication also made him sleepy. He knows it will take some time to adjust. It's encouraging to know that your son has been seizure free for years after the medication was discontinued. I will pass this thought on to my son.
