When Castellano took over the Gambino family, he supposedly gave Neil a sweetheart deal to appease him. What was his deal and why was it unique?
I guess it was money based, where he made more money than your typical UB. I figure he didn't have a crew as that would have been too dangerous.
I'm a little sceptical about that. See, Paul was greedy in general and he stepped on a lot more toes than those of Neil with his later greed. If he was smart enough to understand that he had to appease Neil by giving him more money I think it's likely he was smart enough to understand that his greed would get him popped.
