The Salvie Testa hit was done not only for him calling off the wedding. Have you read the article the WSJ did on him? My god, if I was Salvie I would've killed the journalist who wrote the article. Yeah, it makes him look like a real top guy but if you read the article as if you were a boss of the family, I can see why Scarfo had him killed. It basically says everything but "This guy is the REAL boss of Philly."
