A-Rod has no choice but to drag out a baseless appeal. While his legacy is destroyed either way, accepting the suspension to the beginning of the 2015 season may constitute a lifetime ban.
ARoid is likely out until 2015. Even if the arbitrator reduces the suspension to 162 games, he'll still be out until the beginning of the 2015 season. That's because they don't expect to have a ruling until after the season is over.
And if the arbitrator upholds the 211 games, then he's missing 1/3rd of the 2015.
And through the process, the evidence will probably be released to the public. That will bring public perception of ARoid down even lower.
