Female Catholic priest ordained in Kentucky (controversy expected)

Do you smell that? It’s a big stink some Kentucky women just created for the Catholic Church (and while it smells like roses to some, it’s rotten to others). The Association of Roman Catholic Women Priests ordained Rosemarie Smead of Bedford, Ky., as a member of the clergy yesterday, in direct defiance of Louisville Archbishop Joseph Kurtz. Kurtz warned all Catholics to stay away from the event, since the Vatican clearly states that anyone participating in female ordinations will be excommunicated. Smead is 70 years old, marched for civil rights and lived for years as a cloistered nun. Could she be the Rosa Parks of female priesthood? [Source]
