There is speculation that he may have escaped the cabin and may be somewhere in the immediate vicinity, which could pose an even bigger threat for law enforcement.

I'm not condoning anything that Dorner has done, but I do have sympathy for someone who fights against a corrupt system that screws so many people over, and LAPD is about as corrupt a system as there is. He is clearly not going about this the right way, and he will most likely die for this, whether during this conflict or by execution. But the LAPD needs to take their share of the responsibility for this mess, seeing as they facilitated this whole chain of events.
