A touching story from Italy. This loyal dog use to go to church every day with his owner. She recently died and upon hearing the church bells, "Ciccio" continues to go to church every day. As a very young boy I remember going to mass at the church that my dadattended when he was young. The priest's german shepherd casually strolled across the altar and lay down during the consecration. There was no reaction from the people as I found out this was a regular occurrence.
Before communion the priest leaned down to give the dog a good neck scratching.
