well sure drugs do come from canada into the states. In this case it was BC bud coming in from the westcoast to montreal then down to the states. You also get ecstacy, ketamine, drug manufacturing chemicals and even afghan heroin coming in through canada.
BC sure is a hub for drugs, and a good deal of nice smoke does make its way south into the us, but every year more and more high quality cannabis is produced domestically, and that trend seems likely to continue. as far as heroin, the BC market is mostly dominated by higher quality southeast asian powder heroin trafficked by the asians that you mentioned. the pacific northwest market is dominated by lower quality mexican produced black tar heroin, although there are without a doubt some exceptions.
