Detroit LCN soldier Anthony "Fat Tony" Giacalone, Jr died today of cancer - was the son of legendary and longtime Detroit mob "Street Boss" Anthony "Tony Jack" Giacalone.

Fat Tony, who wasnt fat anymore due to gastric bypass surgery a few years back, was around 65. He was diagnosed less than a year ago and the Big C killed him quick.

Tony Jack's second eldest son - Jackie the Nose is the oldest - Fat Tony was made in a January 1986 ceremony, along with his cousin Jackie the Kid, his brother Joey Jack and Chicago Tony LaPiana. They waited for Tony Jack to get out prison in January to hold the initiation. He'd been in since 1979.

At one time (2000), Fat Tony took over as capo of his dad's crew, but was demoted around 2005-2006 in favor of his brother Joey.
