A headline-making murder case went down four years ago when a local stockbroker allegedly bludgeoned his ex-wife to death with a golf club to avoid alimony. He's been in the can for four years (last two in solitary) because of legal maneuvers. Some of the maneuvers have been because of prosecutorial and county sheriff mistakes.
