About an hour ago the FBI announced it arrested a man in a plot to blow up the Federal Reserve Bank in lower Manhattan. The suspect is believed to be associated with Al Qaeda.
That building is known to us "Godfather" fans as the exterior shot of where Vito met with the heads of the 5 Families just after Sonny was shot. It also played a key role in "Die Hard 3" (where the gold was stored and stolen).
OMG! Can't help but think, "what if?" Thank God they caught him. How scary!
Didn't realize the bldg had Godfather history. I remember Vito's meeting with the heads of families but I can't recall an outside shot.
