They aint gonna risk it, if they truly believed in it they would risk losing everything for it including their lives for it, but they won't because they dont like retaliation. Like the thing with jim crow and the lynchings it was all protected by the law, so when some good old boys went and lynched some black guy for nothing they could run behind the police and the state and not face any backlash for it. As soon as that protection was gone thats when there balls started to shrink and couldnt just do what they wanted without having to answer for it.
