Why do you refer to Nazi-Germany at all? Are you talking about the holocaust, the pogroms or the death penalty in Germany?
You're the one who used the term "killing as a solution". The Nazis called it the "Final Solution".
That was in the 40s. But anyway, I agree. Killing as a solution has something totalitarian. Strange enough, the US is one of the few democracies which still execute death penalty.
