I saw it for the first time over the weekend and thought it was great. John Malkovich is perfect in those paranoid, insane roles. I don't think he's acting, either grin.

I liked it too, solid fun. It's one of those movies that's probably much better than it had any right to because of the big cast of stars and talent all adding flavor and muslce to those parts and those lines ("I remembered the Secret Service being tougher." "Me too.") What a cast, Bruno, Mirren, Freeman, Brian Cox, Karl Urban, Dreyfuss, Malkovich, the late Borgnine.

My Mother liked the movie too, her favorite scene was that shot of Mirren taking her heels off in favor of combat boots. For some reason that made my Mom apparently ROTFL.

The only drawback with RED for me is two of the more overused settings in action movies are dockyards and warehouses, and RED uses them both. But that's only a minor quabble only I will complain about.

Can't wait for the sequel.
