What a neat story. Charles Boyer's name is sure familiar (and I remember my mom/dad liking Gaslight)but I can't place him nor do I know his movies offhand.
My mom was "always" doing housework, but I do remember times she'd set up the Iron (or do mending) as she watched tv. She had to be doing some kind of housework.
I am amazed tho that the tv station put on a movie for her. Ha ha. But things really were different back then.
I'm watching Anaconda (SyFy) with Jennifer Lopez and Jon Voigt who has a really weird accent (it's kind of comical if you ask me)
