I can't say I even watch the Billboard Music Awards but saw this story saying in their tribute to singers who passed away, they included (rightfully) Whitney Houston, Adam Yauch, Robin Gibb.

HOWEVER, they left out, Dick Clark, Levon Helm, Etta James and Davy Jones. I mean, although not a singer himself, Dick Clark, for God's sake?? uhwhat Do they not check before they do these tributes or double check?? Billboard has yet to comment.

Just a guess, but it was Dick Clark, who put together The American Music Awards. I think it was in the 70s. It was regarded as a slap in the face to the Grammys, with which Clark had a big problem. I'm not sure if Billboard also bhad conflicts or problems with Clark, who wielded tremendous power in the music industry, but to ignore Clark's passing when others in the industry are observed is more than an accidental oversight.
