Back in 1979, Etan Patz was 6 years old and disappeared on his way to school one morning. No trace of him was ever found. He was the first child to appear on a milk carton and changed the way that missing children cases were handled.

I read the book "After Etan" that dealt with the years after his disappearance, and what happened to his family. It was one of the most compelling, yet difficult, books I've ever read.

The FBI is currently back in Etan's old neighborhood because they think they may have found traces of him in the basement of a handyman that lived there back in the day. I hope his parents are able to finally find some closure.
