From the old neighborhood: Police and firemen responded to a fire in a home on Ocean Parkway, Brooklyn. The fire broke out about 3:00 p.m. and was brought under control pretty quickly. Firefighters discovered the body of a man who was dead. The big problem was that he had been shot first (and the gun was recovered at the scene).

As strange as that is, it's newsworthy here on these boards because it is just across the street from Carlo Gambino's old house.
