SC, I think we might be running for cover too. I've had some wicked T-storms down here. Two year ago my CATV box got fried by a lightning hit. My neighbor lost his computer. Queens/Nassau is not safe either.
I'm afraid you are right. We've had more severe weather in the past five years, or so, than we've ever had before. Severe thunderstorms, tornadoes, etc. have done much damage to the infrastructures here. It's only going to get worse.
