One of the cable channels is showing the old tv show "Quantum Leap." Anyone remember it? This time he goes back in time and finds out he's Marylin Monroe's chauffeur. LOL I did enjoy that show back in the 90s.

I really liked that show. Bakula and Stockwell had great chemistry.
However, I sorta hated those celebrity episodes. The whole premise is the protagonist shifting through time and space, rewriting history with a good ending for the little people. But when it came to famous people, well time can't be altered, all that sci-fi convention nonsense.
Monroe still dies of an overdose (or murdered, whatever) but she got to do THE MISFITS. (Whoopee.) JFK still gets his head blown off, but Jackie survives. Elvis still eats and drugs himself to death.
For a fictional program, why not do the same with history?
