Lilo, I don't blame her. I can't imagine being denied the right to commit to the person you love. You are forever shoved aside (legally) for someone else who is their "next of kin". I know what you mean SB. But if she feels so strongly about it shouldn't she be working for a gay rights organization so there is no conflict between her ethics and her job responsibilities? Dunno.
