I admit I don't know and maybe only heard of a few of them from the 20's & 30's. Yet I have seen more of his films than I realized.

I liked Strangers On A Train, Lifeboat, Suspicion, North By Northwest. I really liked Dial M For Murder and remaining my very favorite Psycho, The Birds and others. Oh, and Rear Window.. Didn't realize there was such a huge list of films of his that spanned so many decades. eek

He was an odd character but likeable. I remember watching his tv show every Sunday night with the very familiar theme.
