Police arrested a young woman cashier at a local store who was stealing $5 gift cards that the store gave out to any customer who could show that an item sold in the store had been mislabled or mispriced. She'd ring up a "mislabled/mispriced" item and pocket the $5. In the course of two weeks, she rang up $2,200 worth of gift cards--hit the button 440 times, She told police she needed the money to "buy gas so I can come to work."
