We had five days of on-and-off snow here in the High Desert. Only about 5" of accumulation. But temperatures dropped into the teens, turning it into ice. One thing about living in an arid climate: with little humidity to hold in heat, melting of ice depends on your exposure to sunlight. Our (steep) driveway doesn't get much sun, so even when the temp rose to the 50's over the last two days, we got little melting. This crap is likely to be with us for weeks.
